JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to work with us not for us! The hours will be two evenings/ week and Fridays - great for someone looking to work part time, or to pick up a few extra hours! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care in a comfortable environment. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in various dental procedures and administration.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and practices.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $22.04-$32.78 per hour
    Expected hours: 15 per week

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker software system.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups and reminders for patients.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes.
