Our Dentists are positioned to provide the utmost in patient–centered care, while receiving white glove concierge support from our seasoned Dentist provider support team, based in Framingham, Massachusetts.
As a Dentist Assistant with HealthDrive, you will assist Dentists in performing assigned clinical and non-clinical duties for the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities. Current opportunities are covering the Roanoke and Lynchburg, VA areas.

  • Ability to work independently under direct supervision on a daily basis.
  • Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
  • Self starter attitude with the desire to deliver quality, thoughtful and attentive care.
    Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Previous experience and/or externship experience required.
  • Must possess a current Radiology Certificate (or equivalent credential) to operate X-ray equipment; certificate must be verifiable at the start of each shift

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, to bend, and to lift.
  • Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares patients for dental procedures.
  • Assists Dentist during dental procedures.
  • Sterilizes or disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays and prepares materials.
  • Records treatment information in patient records.
  • Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
  • Assists dentist in the management of medical or dental emergencies.
  • Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
  • Clean and polish removable appliances.
  • Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
  • Operates X-ray equipment only if holding a valid Radiology Certificate (see Qualifications)
  • Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment on a daily basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
