If you possess a desire to help others succeed, this is an opportunity for you to positively impact the lives and careers of our students and graduates.   Fortis Institute- Towson provides educational programs that deliver real-life career skills in high demand occupations that lead to employment upon graduation and a lifetime of professional growth.   Job Description We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach Dental Assistant courses and lead the Dental Assistant Faculty in our Allied Health Program.  This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Dental Assistant courses, work with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the program, serve as the lead instructor and externship coordinator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for assisting with development and coordination of the academic program and retention activities within the department.   The typical teaching load is one to two courses each term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, coordinate externship sites, student placements and site visits, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.    Qualifications * Diploma/Degree required  * CDA or other Nationally Recognized DA License Required  * At least three years of experience in the field of Dental Assisting  * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Highly organized, motivated and results driven * Prior teaching experience required
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility will be to teach Dental Assistant courses and lead the Dental Assistant Faculty. Additional duties include coordinating externship sites and assisting with program development and retention activities.
