Description
We are seeking an experienced Dental Biller with strong expertise in orthodontic billing to support a California-based dental practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with U.S. dental insurance, specifically PPO plans, and a deep understanding of orthodontic case billing, payment posting, and insurance follow-ups. •Process and submit dental and orthodontic insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner •Manage pre-authorizations and treatment estimates for orthodontic cases •Handle insurance verification with a focus on orthodontic benefits (lifetime maximums, frequency limitations, age limits) •Post insurance payments, patient payments, and adjustments •Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals •Review and resolve EOB discrepancies •Coordinate with front office and treatment coordinators regarding patient balances and insurance coverage •Maintain accurate documentation within the practice management system •Ensure compliance with California dental billing guidelines and payer requirements Required Qualifications •Minimum 2–3 years of Dental Billing experience (U.S. healthcare account) •At least 1–2 years of Orthodontic Billing experience •Strong understanding of PPO dental insurance plans (U.S.) •Experience with claim submission, AR follow-ups, and denial management •Familiarity with orthodontic billing structures (e.g., global billing, installment plans) •Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) •High attention to detail and accuracy •Experienced in Dentrix EMR systems.
