Description Role Description: One must be of good character, respectful and willing to be coached. One will have the ability to look at yourself objectively in order to learn the processes of Dental Hygiene. They will follow the requirements placed before them during Orientations with Singing River Dentistry. Primary Job responsibilities: Duties include but not limited to: Turning over Op rooms. Keeping in mind which room needs turning over first to seat the patient waiting the longest. Printing Routing Slip as needed Sterilization and instrument processing Make pre-bagged supplies for patient care ensuring all supplies are in the bag. Set up trays for patient care during the day and at the end. Place instruments and supplies in the draws and cabinets to keep well stocked. Seat patients as needed for the Hygienist. Take radiographs if needed. Help watch the schedule if Hygiene is running behind. Alert another Hygienist help is needed with the patient waiting. Polish teeth Floss teeth Charting existing dental work, treatment plans for needed work and perio charting. Keep the supply closet stocked. Alert ordering department when supplies are low. Help with Hygienist as needed such as holding the suction or radiographs. Take out trash at the end of the day. Monitor Hygiene schedule in conjunction with scheduling Coordinator to help fill cancellations internally and through recall list. Provide excellent customer service to help ensure a smooth and comfortable visit is experienced. Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures. Be able to chart and place notes in Open dental. Requirements Skill and Attributes: Singing River Dentistry Dental Hygiene Assistant will follow the same attributes under Dental Hygiene. They will be self-aware. In addition, be willing to demonstrate genuine interest in others. Be a good listener, temperate and a humble peace maker and coachable. Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
