The Aurum group is seeking a Dental Digital Designer to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Dental Digital Designer is responsible for creating precise digital models of dental restorations using CAD/CAM technology. This role bridges the gap between clinical prescriptions and the final prosthetic product, ensuring accuracy, aesthetics, and functionality.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Digital Design & Modeling: Design dental restorations including crowns, bridges, veneers, implant abutments, and full-arch prosthetics using software like 3 Shape, and Exocad. Create virtual 3D models tailored to patients’ anatomical structures. Perform diagnostic wax-ups and design surgical guides.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with dentists and lab technicians to interpret prescriptions and ensure design accuracy. Coordinate case planning across departments and participate in training sessions when needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect final products for fit, aesthetics, and adherence to specifications. Maintain detailed records and documentation of design processes.
  • Full time position: Monday to Friday.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Diploma or certification in Dental Technology or CAD/CAM Dentistry. Advanced training in digital design is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in dental CAD software (Exocad, 3 Shape). Familiarity with CAM systems and lab techniques like zirconia milling and porcelain layering. Willing to train the right candidate who has training and experience in CAD/CAM.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Adaptability to new technologies and software updates.
