__________ CLINICAL SERVICES FACULTY OF DENTISTRY | TE KAUPEKA PŪNIHO The University of Otago is one of New Zealand’s most research-intensive Universities and has the only Dental School in New Zealand teaching the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). The role | Te mahi The Faculty of Dentistry invites applications for three full-time, fixed-term positions as Dental House Surgeons, commencing on 5 January 2027. In this role, you will become a member of staff of the Faculty of Dentistry and work for the University of Otago. These are exciting but demanding roles, suitable for recent graduates, who can work as part of a team, and who wish to develop their skills and knowledge of medicine and dentistry in a combined Faculty and Hospital environment. You will develop strengths in hospital and acute dental care and be exposed to elective and acute oral and maxillofacial surgery, alongside most other aspects of dentistry from within the Faculty of Dentistry and Dunedin Hospital. This is a superb opportunity to learn and work with dental specialists in the Faculty of Dentistry, as well as medical consultants in the hospital. Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako • Recent dental graduate with registration as a dentist in New Zealand in the general dental practice scope of practice with a current Annual Practicing Certificate and Professional Indemnity for Dentists. • Competence in organisation, communication and teamwork. • Sensitivity towards differing cultures and personalities. The salary for this position is $79,812 per annum. The University is committed to meeting its obligations under the Children Act 2014.
