Description Hygiene Assistant – Full-Time Cambridge Dental Group | Dearborn Heights, MI Cambridge Dental Group is a modern, fast-paced general dentistry practice located in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. We are seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support our hygiene team and help deliver exceptional patient care in a positive, team-focused environment. Position Overview As a Hygiene Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the hygiene department by ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate clinical documentation, and a comfortable patient experience. Key Responsibilities Seat patients and prepare them for hygiene appointments Review and update patient health histories Take diagnostic dental x-rays (must be proficient) Assist hygienists chairside as needed Turn over rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical area Follow infection control and safety protocols Provide excellent patient care and communication What We’re Looking For Current dental assisting license - preferred Active x-ray certification – REQUIRED Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Professional, reliable, and patient-focused Willingness to learn and grow within the practice Technology & Systems Open Dental Digital x-rays iTero Modern dental equipment and technology Schedule (a combination of these hours equal to approx. 40 hours per week) Monday & Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturdays: 2 Saturdays per month REQUIRED, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Weekday off provided during the week when a Saturday is worked Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive compensation structure and a comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance (100% employer-paid) 401(k) with employer match Paid time off (PTO) Paid holidays Monthly bonus opportunities Short-term and long-term disability insurance options Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive leadership and a positive team culture Why Cambridge Dental Group?
