We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our practice and support our dental hygiene team. Position Summary The Dental Hygiene Assistant will work closely with our dental hygienists to ensure that patients receive optimal care and support during their visits. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care. Key Responsibilities Assist dental hygienists during patient appointments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials. Greet and prepare patients for hygiene treatment. Maintain accurate patient records and update charts. Manage the flow of patients in the hygiene department. Perform suctioning, rinsing, and other chairside assistance as required. Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. Adhere to all infection control protocols and office policies. Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling and patient follow-ups as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Coronal Polishing and radiation certification required Bilingual preferred not required Previous dental assisting experience or certification preferred (but willing to train the right candidate). Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
