RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of patient care for the best possible outcomes. Key responsibilities include: * Patient Assessments & Treatment Planning: * Medical health history screening and updates. * Conduct baseline and routine assessments (including full mouth charting, probing, and oral cancer screening). * Identify conditions and oral diseases such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis. * Develop Dental Hygiene treatment planning including patient-specific preventive care (scaling, prophy, fluoride, etc., as required). * Clinical Procedures: * Radiographs and impressions (as prescribed by the Dentist), and intra-oral photos. * Use best practices for infection control, including processing instruments and treatment rooms. * Patient Education & Documentation: * Educate patients by providing oral hygiene instructions, plaque control instructions, and postoperative instructions as required. * Maintain accurate documentation/charting. * Team Collaboration & Administration: * Identify gaps in the clinical schedule and assist with scheduling, such as booking preventive recall appointments and following up with outstanding treatment plans. * Collaborate with colleagues (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Dentists, and Administration) during downtime. * Attend continuing education events from time to time.
