You will identify the dental hygiene treatment plan according to individual patient needs, ensuring that patient oral health is the focus! Join a team that’s helping to make Canada smile — one caring appointment at a time. ---------------------------------------- RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of patient care that will ensure the best outcome for the patients. * Use best practices for infection control including while processing instruments and treatment rooms. * Medical health history screening and updates. * Conduct baseline and routine assessments (including full mouth charting, probing, oral cancer screening). * Radiographs and impressions (as prescribed by the Dentist), intra oral photos. * Identify conditions and oral disease such as: gingivitis, caries or periodontitis. * Dental Hygiene treatment planning including patient specific preventive dental care (scaling, prophy, fluoride etc. as required). * Educate patients by providing oral hygiene instruction, plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions as required.\ * Maintain accurate documentation/charting. * Identify gaps in clinical schedule and assist with scheduling, such as: booking preventive recall appointments, following up with outstanding treatment plans. * Collaborate with colleagues during down-time in schedule (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants Dentists and Administration). * Attend continuing education events from time to time. ---------------------------------------- SCHEDULE * Tuesday: 7:00am-5:00pm * Wednesday & Thursday: 10:00am-8:00pm * Friday: 8:00am-2:00pm Requirements * Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene. * Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO. * Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail. * Experience with AbelDent would be an asset. * A friendly personality who works collaboratively with a team. ---------------------------------------- 123Dentist is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity.
