Our network of high-standard professionals provides exceptional care to our patients throughout Connecticut! Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed! Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts Sterilization of equipment Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines Possess a professional and positive attitude Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH) Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined: [LOCATION NAME] Location Hours: Monday Friday Saturday -Every other Preferred Qualities: Dental office experience Dentrix Ascend software experience
