Minimum requirements: Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license Must have a current/active CPR certificate Bi-lingual English/Spanish Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: .Knowledge of dental terminology. Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices. Skills in using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning. Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to manage time so can adequately treat patients but still treat the number of patients needed and in a timely manner. Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County. Duties and Responsibilities -: Serve as a dental hygienist in the School Based Sealant program. Provide dental assessments, take pictures of inside of students mouth for tele-dentistry, educate students on oral hygiene provide fluoride varnish treatments and dental sealants. Work location: 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34475 or alternating school site locations Work Timings -: Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm Pay rate :$23.62 hr/40 Hr. work week
