Location: Gentle Dental North Meridian 1002 N. Meridian Street Suite 104A Puyallup, WA 98371, USA   We are seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate is a personable professional who is passionate about dental health and enjoys building strong relationships with patients. This role involves performing dental hygiene procedures, educating patients on best oral hygiene practices and products, and practicing proactively. Responsibilities Include: Patient Care: Conduct thorough hygiene procedures to include: scaling and root planing, gingivitis scaling, and prophylaxis. Assessment: Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments, medical history assessments, and caries risk assessments. Patient Education: Educate patients on hygiene treatments needed based on medical and periodontal assessments. X-Rays: Take digital radiographs as necessary for patient diagnosis. Treatment Planning: Assist in developing personalized AAP and ADA based treatment plans per patient need, based on assessments and dentist recommendations. Collaboration: Work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Patient Interaction: Engage patients in a friendly, reassuring manner, while addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment plans and completed procedures. Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment. Requirements: Education: Degree or certification in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution. License: Valid state dental hygiene license. Other licenses/certifications: CPR, Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide Sedation, Laser Certification (where required).
