OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained through preventive care and education. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively with both patients and the dental team.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role within a dental practice is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and general dentistry practices.
  • Experience with medical records management and knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using Dentrix or other dental management software systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
  • A valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
  • Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Dentrix or similar systems.
  • Assist in the development of treatment plans in collaboration with dentists.
  • Provide support during dental procedures as needed, including dental assisting tasks.
  • Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
