Competitive hourly rates start at $60 per hour plus bonus commission. Candidates with meaningful experience can earn higher compensation. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Assist with patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Administer local anesthesia and perform sealant application for patients as required. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper film processing and adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with dentists to evaluate patients' oral health, identifying signs of potential concerns and assisting in treatment planning. Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing oral surgeries or other treatments, educating them on home care and managing follow-up appointments. Monitor patients’ periodontal health, conducting periodontal charting and assisting in the development of treatment plans for gum disease. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies, attending relevant continuing education programs. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting hygiene procedures, treatment recommendations, and patient progress. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited dental hygiene program. Licensed to practice dental hygiene in the state (e.g., RDH license). Experience in providing comprehensive dental cleanings and preventive care. Proficiency in performing routine diagnostic and preventive procedures, including X-rays, fluoride treatments, and oral cancer screenings. Strong communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with the dental team. Commitment to patient care, with a focus on compassion and creating a comfortable environment for patients. Willingness to stay updated on the latest dental hygiene techniques, advancements, and technologies through continuing education and professional development.
