Job Description Oak Tree Dental & Implant Centre is expanding, and we’re looking for a motivated, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team on Fridays and Saturdays. Due to increased patient demand, continued practice growth, and extended opening hours, this is an excellent opportunity for a hygienist seeking additional days in a well-established, supportive, and modern private practice. About Us Oak Tree Dental is a forward-thinking practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality patient care. We pride ourselves on our welcoming team culture, loyal patient base, and commitment to clinical excellence. The Role Fridays: 14:15 – 17:00 1 Saturday morning per month: 09:30 – 12:30 4 modern, well-equipped surgeries Fully private practice Full support from an experienced and friendly team You must be a GDC-registered Dental Hygienist. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive dental hygiene treatments, including scaling, root planing, and polishing Assess patients’ oral health and identify signs of periodontal disease Provide preventative treatments such as fluoride applications Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and lifestyle choices Take and process dental radiographs in line with current guidelines Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilisation Work collaboratively with dentists and the wider team to ensure excellent patient care Support anxious patients with empathy and clear communication Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using digital systems Stay up to date with professional knowledge through ongoing CPD Essential Requirements Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) Enhanced DBS clearance Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting Strong clinical, organisational, and communication skills Confident using electronic patient records and practice management systems Commitment to ongoing professional development Desirable Experience in periodontal disease management Interest in oral health promotion and patient education Experience working within a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with modern dental technology and digital radiography Why Join PortmanDentex?
