Position Summary The Dental Hygienist is responsible for delivering high-quality dental hygiene care to patients, including exams, prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, oral health education, and more. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, team-oriented, and committed to helping our patients maintain their dental health across the lifespan. Duties & Responsibilities Review and prepare patient charts and health histories daily. Collaborate with administrative staff to schedule hygiene patients efficiently. Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis. Conduct scaling, root planning, and selective polishing. Accurately chart periodontal health and update dental records. Polish dental restorations as appropriate. Provide oral hygiene instruction and nutritional counseling to patients. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of treatment rooms and equipment. Manage hygiene-related supply inventory and patient education materials. Participate actively in team meetings and office improvement initiatives. Assist with the recall system and front office coordination as needed. Support the dentist and broader clinical team with delegated duties. Hours of Operation Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Location Columbus, GA Talbotton, GA Requirements Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program (minimum 2 years post-secondary) Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Georgia Current CPR certification Proficient in performing prophylaxis and taking X-rays Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team Attention to detail and strong documentation skills Compensation & Benefits Salary: $63,733.00 and up, based on experience $10,000.00 Sign-On Bonus (Limited Time Offer) Full Benefits Package includes: 100% employer-paid Medical coverage (valued at $10,000/year), Long-term Disability coverage, and free Dental and Vision services in our clinics. Normal range of motion, vision, and hearing required Must be able to assist or lift patients as necessary Regular exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, radiation, and clinical cleaning agents Work may require irregular hours and involves exposure to bodily fluids (position is considered at-risk for occupational exposure)
