Experienced Oral Surgery and Dental Insurance billing specialist.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery & General Dentistry practice looking for an insurance billing coordinator.

  • Pay is based on experience.
  • 401K and PTO available.

We are looking for a motivated and professional person to join our growing team! We are a high-tech, fast-paced, privately owned dental practice. You must possess 2+ years of experience in the dental field and have experience with Open Dental/Dentrix or similar dental software. Required experience with Oral Surgery, Dental, and Medical insurance billing and coding.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Oral Surgery, dental, and medical insurance billing experience is required.
  • Experience in Oral and Maxillofacial surgical assistance and x-ray certification is required.
  • High-school diploma or equivalent.
  • Determination and persistence in submitting and appealing claims.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Strong focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and anticipation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs as required.
Responsibilities
  • This position oversees, submits, tracks, and records all insurance billing for this single-doctor practice.
  • Submit electronic and manual claims.
  • Enter insurance payments and explanation of benefits into patient charts.
  • Monitor the insurance aging report.
  • Collect insurance checks from patients.
  • Send patient statements in cases that are warranted.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
