Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have several labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this On-Call Dental Lab Technician (Grind) opportunity at NDX Green in Heber Springs, AR. The regular scheduled hours for this position are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position: * Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist. * On anterior cases, establish and mark the midline on the models and mark the interproximal guidelines for over jet, overbite or incisal length if any * Clean abutments on bridges of any loose porcelain dust * Mark contact areas of unprepared teeth and the tissue bearing surfaces on bridges. * Contour contacts on single crowns or abutment teeth on bridges, tissue-bearing surfaces of bridges * Check contoured surfaces to be sure they are smooth * Check occlusion and contour to achieve centric on anterior and posteriors * Contour interproximal of anterior and/or posteriors using the correct steps and tools * Contour concavities on anterior using correct steps and tools * Inspect crowns and bridges for all necessary contouring to achieve function and aesthetic standards before sending to QC. * All other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Required: * Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English * Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity * Detail oriented * Patience for repetitive tasks * Ability to work closely with others and share equally in the workload * Ability to sit for extended periods of time * Flexibility in dealing with varied work hours due to fluctuating workloads * Ability to adapt to ProPay production system Minimum Education and Experience Required: * Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used: * Hand-piece Physical Requirements: * Sitting for long periods at a time

Responsibilities

The technician is responsible for reading prescriptions to contour and finish crowns and bridges. They must ensure all restorations meet functional and aesthetic standards before quality control inspection.
