Dental Laboratory Assistant.
The ideal candidate will Byfleet Surrey KT14 7LF
£25,000 - £26,000 depending on experience.
Are you interested in working for an established Dental Laboratory? Do you have an interest in Orthodontics?
We are looking for a full time, enthusiastic person with excellent attention to detail to work within our laboratory in Byfleet, Surrey KT14 7LF.
The IAS Laboratory has provided high-quality appliances and ortho supplies to the UK from its Surrey base since 2007.
Founded by CEO Darren Mitchell to serve local NHS practices the lab quickly developed its own digital planning facility, developing the ClearSmile brand and working with the IAS training academy. The lab now serves hundreds of NHS and Private practices nationally.
You will be working as part of our team of Dental Technicians, the role requires very good manual dexterity, and the ability to work to a high standard.
Previous experience working in a dental laboratory would be an advantage but not essential.
Our working days are Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm
Main Duties will include:
· Casting impressions
· Trimming models
· Plaster Model preparation
· Scanning
· Downloading scans
· Preparing digital models for printing
· Labelling models
· Loading the printers
· Clean and QA printed models ready for production
· Preparation of models for manufacture of vacuum formed devices.
· Manufacture of vacuum formed devices
Your daily duties can vary according to the daily demands of the laboratory.

Essential Skills:

  • Dental background, you must be a Technician,
  • Knowledge of the tooth anatomy and dental terminology
  • Methodical and organised approach to work
  • Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal
  • Clear communication both written and verbal
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Intermediate and above use of IT including Excel
  • Training will be provided for dental software
  • Ability to follow protocols and guidelines
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn

We are located close to a local train station, (Byfleet and New Haw) in an air-conditioned building and also have ample on-site parking. Other benefits include:
