JOB SUMMARY:

The Beloit Dental Manager reports to the Dental Director and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the Dental Assistants, overseeing patient flow and providing leadership to the dental assistant team and DA Levels. The DA’s can consist of as many as 12 or more FTE staff although this count does vary. Provides training and supervision to Dental Assistants in collaboration with the Dental Director and Level III DA. Assists providers, dental assistants, and other clinical support staff in following established standards and practices. Communicates with front desk and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care. Acts as a DA, providing direct patient care on a fill-in basis- sometimes at short-notice.

  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Ability to identify and maintain confidential/HIPPA information.

EDUCATION

  • Bi-annual BLS Provider Level Completion required.
  • Completion of dental assistant program and/or certification.

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years administrative supervisory experience in dental, public, or community health preferred.
