JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Dental/Medical Biller in our Salem, NH location. This role is responsible for processing insurance claims, payment processing and following up on outstanding claims. The ideal candidate has a basic knowledge of dental and medical insurance billing. This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to work onsite at our office three days per week and remotely for the remaining two days.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Some experience in dental or medical billing, preferably with a focus on oral surgery.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance claims processing, including ICD-10, CPT, and CDT coding.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Quick to adapt to new software tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting, as well as independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in Medical or Dental Billing and Coding.
  • Familiarity with medical and dental billing software (e.g., DSN, WinOMS, OMSVision or similar).
  • Experience working with both commercial and government payers (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).

    Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit dental and medical insurance claims for oral surgery procedures to third-party payers.
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resubmit corrected claims as needed.
  • Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines, coding requirements, and payer policies.
  • Communicate, support and provide customer service to our clients and insurance representatives.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
