A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our Maxillofacial and Orthodontic Department on a part time basis. We are a very busy department and we are looking for reliable individuals who are willing to work as part of a team of dental nurses but also within a wider disciplinary team. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and pleasant disposition and also have knowledge of a range of dental and surgical procedures.
§ To assist medical / dental staff at the chair side and be involved in nurse led clinics providing high quality care to the patients of the Orthodontic and Maxillofacial Departments.
§ With the medical / dental team assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team in providing a first class service for all patients and carers.

§ To provide high standards of patient care at all times.

§ Participates in the nurse led weekly clinic, which focuses on the needs of patients requiring fixed appliances.
§ Prepare clinic for surgery and reviews, with the correct investigations, blood results, scans, x-rays and patient models correctly.

§ Routine collection of audits, data and statistics in relation to clinical and non-clinical topics.
§ Initiate audits to help improve patient experience activities.

§ Assist in organising clinics to ensure that they are fully utilised and run efficiently.

Infection Prevention and Control
