A dental nurse supports the dentist in all aspects of patient care, this includes getting the appropriate instruments ready, mixing materials and always ensuring patient comfort. the dental nurse tidies and cleans the surgery and sterilises all of the instruments.
You will also be trained in reception work - attending the dental practice phone calls, making appointments, taking payments, dealing with paperwork (referrals etc) and greeting and reassuring patients.
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule and confirm dental appointments
- Manage dental supplies inventory
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Dental Nurse or Dental Assistant
- Excellent knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and procedures
