Viva Dental are searching for a Qualified Dental Nurse to work in our brand new clinic.
We would like to attract a well-motivated team player, offering a patient centred approach to dentistry, as well as experience with NHS provision. along with private knowledge. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills.
The Qualified dental nurse will have the overall responsibility for assisting dentists in patient care and support, aiding patients to access routine dental care and treating patients with dignity and respect
Role includes:
Assisting dentists in carrying out dental procedures
Caring and supporting patients in their needs
Providing advice to patients providing after care help aiding patients into regular dental services
Recording, collecting, analysing records
Decontamination and sterilisation of instruments and clinical areas
Maintaining logs
Assisting in maintenance, auditing and compliance checks
Learning and development, maintaining a personal development portfolio and subject to regular appraisals
Taking part in regular team meeting
Maintaining premises, equipment and surfaces in a clean, safe, hygienic environment
Maintaining patient confidentiality
Maintaining efficiencies within the practice
Abiding by all legislations and practice policies
Working as a team to deliver oral health to the local community
What skills do you need?
Patient centred care and empathy
Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with colleagues, clinical professionals, customers and senior management.
Initiative to continually improve;
Good decontamination and cross infection awareness
Requirements
Dental nurse qualification
GDC Registration & indemnity will be required
Good communication skills
enhanced DBS checks
Clear immunology for exposure prone procedures
2 references
Previous dental experience is essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
