The Role
We are looking for a qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional team. The successful candidate will be passionate about dentistry, enjoy working collaboratively, and provide excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

As a Dental Nurse at Summerley Dental Practice, your daily duties may include:

• Supporting dentists and hygienists during clinical procedures
• Preparing, sterilising, and maintaining instruments and equipment
• Ensuring surgeries are clean, tidy, and well-stocked
• Providing reassurance and clear communication to patients throughout their visit
• Managing patient records and updating clinical notes accurately
• Handling administrative tasks, including appointment bookings and patient correspondence
• Following cross-infection and health & safety protocols
• Assisting with stock control and ordering dental materials
• Contributing positively to the wider practice team and supporting colleagues as required

Essential Requirements

• Valid GDC registration
• Up-to-date CPD and Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Enhanced DBS check
• Strong written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate (Microsoft Windows and Office)
• Experience using EXACT (SOE) software
• Positive, professional, and team-focused attitude
• Two references (including one from your most recent practice)

Desirable

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a dental practice
• Certificate of Higher Education in Dental Nursing (preferred)
