ABOUT US

Eastgate Dental & Cosmetic Centre is a brand-new family-run, private dental practice which has just celebrated its first birthday in February. We are a small, supportive, friendly team of four. Our aim is to deliver professional oral health advice and treatment within a compassionate and caring environment.
We are looking for an experienced full or part-time dental nurse to join our brand-new dental practice.
Interested applicants must have excellent communication, organisation, and a desire for career progression. Competent IT skills and confidence working within a team. GDC registered as a dental nurse (or registered on a training programme).

A brief description of duties are as follows and not limited to:

  • ​Supporting clinicians in delivering a full range of high quality private dental treatments.
  • Assist, reassure and monitor the welfare of our patients throughout treatments.
  • Participate in the smooth operation of our dental practice.
  • Process and prepare materials as requested, including the processing of digital radiographs.
  • Keep clinical areas, equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Maintain your surgery in accordance with cross-infection and prevention policies.
  • Be familiar and comply with all health and safety rules, guidance and legislation, including, but not limited to PPE, COSHH, HTM 01/05, mercury handling, infection control and waste disposal etc.
  • Competent in stock management of the practice.
  • Assist in reception duties.
  • Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies, CPR and comply to CQC guidelines.
  • Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct.
  • Ensure GDC registration is maintained.
  • You will have the opportunity to mentor and support the development of other nurses.
