Role: Dental Nurse/Practice Manager
Hours: FT Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and organized individual to join our dental team in a dual capacity as both a Dental Nurse and Practice Manager. This unique role involves delivering high-quality chairside support during clinical procedures while also overseeing the efficient day-to-day running of the dental practice.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of both financial management and human resources. This role is essential in ensuring that the practice runs smoothly while providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

DENTAL NURSING DUTIES:

  • Assist dentists and hygienists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment in line with infection control protocols (HTM 01-05).
  • Accurately record patient notes and charting as directed by the clinician.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and GDC regulations.
  • Support in taking digital X-rays, impressions, and other clinical tasks as delegated.
  • Provide post-operative care instructions and reassure patients.

PRACTICE MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the practice, including staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
  • Lead and manage the dental team with professionalism, providing training and support as needed.
  • Ensure the practice complies with all regulatory and legal requirements (CQC, GDPR, HSE, etc.).
  • Manage stock control, ordering supplies, and liaising with suppliers.
  • Handle patient complaints, feedback, and service improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and practice management software.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and practice goals.
  • Support marketing, social media, and business development initiatives.
  • Liaise with external agencies, accountants, and service providers.
