JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional Team.
This role is ideal for an experienced or a qualified Dental Nurse with Dental Reception experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience as a receptionist within a dental setting or dental nurse experience would be an advantage.
  • Basic IT proficiency, including familiarity with dental software systems, is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly disposition.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Experience with Digital Dentistry is desired but not necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An accredited dental nursing qualification. Dental Nursing NVQ Level 3
  • GDC Registered
  • Indemnity - paid by practice
  • Enhanced DBS check - paid by practice
  • Full Hep B Vaccinations and Titre tested
  • Experience in Implant nursing preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience working as a Dental Nurse within a dental practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in dental nursing.
Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist’s time.
  • Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and care.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication within the practice.
  • Uphold a clean and organised reception area that reflects the professionalism of the practice.
  • Assisting the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
  • Providing chair-side support to patients during treatment, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.
  • Preparing and maintaining the dental surgery and equipment, ensuring high standards of infection control are maintained at all times.
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient care.
  • Offering appropriate advice and guidance to patients on oral healthcare.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is maintained and cleaned in accordance with practice protocols.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Taking Patient Photographs.
