We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice at 156 Hackney Road E2 7QL. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team, and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.

THE REQUIREMENTS

· Certification in Dental Nursing
· GDC registered.
· Organised, diligent and IT literate.

SKILLS

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

· Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned.
· Take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort.
· Work in a safe and effective manner in accordance with CQC/GDC requirements.
· To ensure that the surgical areas and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained.
· To assist at reception and perform other clerical duties as required.
· Follow all practice policies and procedures.
· Undertake all mandatory training courses and maintain statutory obligation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Provide high-quality patient care by reassuring patients, answering their questions, and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote better dental health.
  • Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
