EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar nursing role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical documentation, and medical records management is essential.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Provide direct patient care by preparing patients for treatment, taking medical histories, and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and treatment plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage dental equipment and instruments, ensuring proper sterilization and maintenance to uphold safety standards.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall health.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient service.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental practices to enhance patient care.
