QUALIFIED/ TRAINEE DENTAL NURSE

We have a vacancy for a full time dental nurse or trainee dental nurse to join our friendly, professional, private dental practice in Berwick upon Tweed.
Dental or healthcare experience would be preferred but it is more important that the right candidate has matching values to fit in with our staff and patients.
This is also a great opportunity to work towards and achieve a dental nurse qualification or if qualified, work towards qualifications in radiology and or oral health education with the support and supervision from both colleagues and tutors.
As a trainee apprentice you will be expected to complete and achieve Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing, then on completion and certification, you will then register with the General Dental Council.
You will be working alongside one of our dentists, hygienists or on reception, your role will involve dental nursing, decontamination, reception and administrative duties.
As a practice we carry out a wide range of procedures including adult orthodontics, Invisalign, oral surgery and implants. As a practice we provide private dentistry. We do expect the highest quality of care possible for our patients, so evidence of good customer care, working within a team and attention to detail is essential.
The start date is the 1st October 2025 but is flexible, and the salary is dependent on experience and qualifications from £12.21 - £15.01ph (- There are different rates of pay for apprentices depending on your age and what year of your apprenticeship you’re in, but we will confirm your rate of pay if successful).
Dental care, registration fees, CPD, training costs and indemnity fees are covered by practice plus pension scheme.
It is a full time position (33- 38 hours per week over 4 days) including an occasional Saturday and holiday cover, so must be flexible with hours. A working day is generally from 8-6pm Mon-Fri.
