JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse, or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the practice. This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Software of Excellence is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support the dental team in maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including sterilisation of instruments and equipment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with dental practices and technologies.
