JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing chairside assistance during various dental procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring patients are comfortable and well-informed throughout their visit.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • GDC registration is essential.
  • Experience in a similar role within a dental practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring and compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including all forms of general dentistry.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure the dental surgery is prepared ahead of each patient.
  • Sterilize instruments and ensure all infection control protocols are followed.
  • Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and support.
  • Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and charting treatments.
  • Work closely with the dental team to provide a seamless and efficient service.
  • Support reception and administrative tasks when required.
