ABOUT THE JOB

Riverway Dental is seeking a long-term, part-time office cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of our dental clinic. This job position is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, following a set routine of tasks, with the freedom to enjoy listening to music or a podcast. Most importantly, we are seeking a hardworking individual who possesses a strong work ethic and takes pride in performing their job exceptionally well. Our dental office is open Monday through Thursday, with the exception of the odd Friday when there is a holiday on the Monday. Cleaning can begin anytime after 4:30 pm for an average of 3-4 hours per evening, with additional hours sometimes needed to complete weekly and/or monthly tasks.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of high school
  • Clean criminal records check
  • Class 5 driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy
  • Ability to thoroughly clean with attention to detail
  • Must consistently follow and adhere to the established cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing protocols
  • Must be physically capable of carrying out all job duties
  • Must be comfortable working independently during evening hours
  • Must follow and adhere to health and safety regulations

Responsibilities
  • Vacuuming and mopping of floors
  • Cleaning the staffroom, washrooms, private offices, and the reception area
  • Sterilization of dental instruments
  • Collection and disposal of garbage and recycling
  • Putting away and organizing laundry
  • Dusting or damp wiping surfaces; washing windows and mirrors
  • Restocking of all medical, office, and cleaning supplies
  • Maintaining the working condition of cleaning equipment
  • Keeping an inventory of supplies and assisting with reordering when appropriate
