POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Dental Office Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our practice, manage our office team, and ensure a smooth workflow for both patients and staff. A strong understanding of dental insurance, treatment plan presentation, and excellent leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a dental office management role.
  • Extensive knowledge of dental insurance plans and billing processes.
  • Proven ability to present treatment plans effectively to patients.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix,
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Dental assisting or office management certifications (preferred).
  • Ongoing professional development in dental management (a plus).

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Staff Management:
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the front office team, dental assistants, and hygienists.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate office staff.
  • Ensure efficient communication and cooperation across all departments.
  • Practice Operations:
  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Handle scheduling, staffing, and patient records management.
  • Ensure the office is compliant with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA.
  • Patient Care & Service Excellence:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming, positive atmosphere.
  • Resolve patient concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure patients are informed about procedures, treatments, and financial policies.
  • Insurance & Billing Management:
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage.
  • Work with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and claim rejections.
  • Present treatment plans to patients, ensuring they understand their options and associated costs.
  • Oversee patient collections and ensure accurate billing.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Manage practice finances, including payroll, budgeting, and expense tracking.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements.
  • Monitor revenue and expenses to ensure practice profitability.
  • Growth & Development:
  • Implement strategies to increase patient satisfaction and retention.
  • Drive growth by promoting services, managing marketing efforts, and generating referrals.
  • Identify opportunities for practice improvements and assist with the development of new initiatives.
