OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing administrative support while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical office management, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with EMR/EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight within a healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with various healthcare management software including eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar systems is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage patient interactions effectively.
  • Experience in human resources or supervising staff is an asset.
  • Background in nursing or acute care can enhance the understanding of patient needs within the dental context.

Responsibilities
  • Manage patient scheduling and appointments efficiently to optimize office workflow.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with billing and insurance claims processing, including familiarity with managed care and financial management practices.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and dental staff, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Support the dental team by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
  • Oversee office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist in training new staff members, providing guidance on office protocols and systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
