Description Konza Prairie Community Health Center is seeking a dependable Outreach Hygiene Assistant to support our school-based dental outreach program. Working alongside the dental hygienist, this position assists with preventive dental screenings and services, prepares and maintains dental equipment and supplies, sterilizes instruments, maintains accurate records, and helps ensure the efficient delivery of care in school settings. Key Responsibilities: Assist hygienist with dental screenings and preventive services in school environments Prepare, maintain, and clean instruments and equipment Ensure proper documentation and data entry of patient records Support the hygienist with patient care and comfort Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed Work collaboratively with school staff and dental team to support program operations Additional Information: Training will be provided Must be organized, dependable, punctual, honest, flexible, and detail-oriented During school holidays and breaks, the Outreach Hygiene Assistant will work in the clinic as a hygiene assistant Typical hours are approximately 7:15 AM – 3:30 PM but may vary depending on workload and school location Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Clean driving record (use of company vehicle required; background check will be conducted) Current vaccination record meeting ACIP Healthcare Worker recommendations Ability to lift dental equipment (up to 60 lbs) Accurate data entry skills Flexible schedule to accommodate school-related events (e.g., snow days) Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of dental assisting experience Bilingual in Spanish CPR certification for healthcare providers
