We drive key quality and cost outcomes that create value for patients, providers, and the overall health system. We are seeking a patient services representative who has excellent phone etiquette, strong team player, focused on fostering a culture of openness and communication, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, organization skills, the ability to perform under pressure, pay close attention to detail, typing and data entry skills, administrative skills and time management. This candidate will report to the Lead Registered Dental Assistant. Job Responsibilities Perform analytical and data entry task. Answer patient calls, patient scheduling, answering questions, including dental insurance eligibility and qualifying patients for insurance. Confidentially manage patient accounts. Schedule patient visits and answer pre-visit questions, including billing questions. Reviewing patient paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Sending out emails regarding; referrals, prescription refills & Pre-Authorizations, Medical Record Requests and or any patient complaints, etc Provide gracious, thorough and efficient care to meet the patients' needs via face-to-face communication, phone, email or fax. Follow all procedures for complete and accurate check in and check out of patients. Schedule return appointments and set up reminder notifications. Collects patient data involving dental, medical, demographic and insurance information. Other assigned tasks, and responsibilities as directed by the Dental Director Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma. Must have the ability to establish confidence and trust with patients. Must have the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or stress. Have the ability to provide excellent customer service, communication, telephone and grammar skills. Must have an empathetic and compassionate manner. Prefer one or more years' experience working in a medical position where patient contact was required. Knowledge of insurance plans is helpful. Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Ability to perform as part of a team as well as work independently. Bilingual – Spanish speaker preferred.
