JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires familiarity with dental terminology and proficiency in dental office software, ensuring smooth patient flow and effective communication within the practice.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental software such as Cleardent is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in using phone systems and managing front desk operations effectively.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
  • Obtaining patient information such as demographics and create appropriate files
  • Scheduling appointments for patients over the telephone and in person and provide them with reminders
  • Providing follow-up to patients, to ensure that they do not miss their appointments
  • Obtaining patients’ insurance information and ensure that coverage is verified, by contacting insurance companies through the telephone
  • Managing patient inflow, ensuring that appropriate volume is maintained, through proper scheduling
  • Keeping dentists and dental assistants aware of changes in schedules, to ensure that they can plan their work accordingly
  • Creating and maintaining records of patients, ensuring that they are updated on a regular basis
  • Ensuring all client interactions and records are handled with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Processing payments, billing insurance companies, and following up on claims as needed.
  • Ordering and managing office supplies, keeping track of inventory
  • Ability to work evenings and weekend as required.
