Dental Receptionist/assistant is required for a small dental clinic in Hornsby.

We are seeking an experienced (preferred but not essential) and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist/assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our patients. The hours include:
Mon- Fri: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Sat: 8:30 am - 1pm/3:30pm
There is a potential to move to full-time with more responsibilities in the future.

ABOUT US

We are a small boutique dental clinic located in Hornsby that offers general, family and cosmetic dentistry. From routine cleanings to more complex procedures including orthodontics and implants, we strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone. Our dentists see patients Monday - Saturday.

Responsibilities

You will succeed in this role because you:

  • Have previous dental assistant experience including a Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting (preferred but not essential)
  • Have strong customer service skills with an interest in helping people
  • Have great communication and people skills, as well as being organised, proactive and with great time-management skills
  • Experience with Dental 4 Windows (preferred but not essential) and other computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skill

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greet and check-in patients, manage appointment schedules, and handle billing including HICAPS, Medicare claims & NSW health voucher claims
  • Assist the dentist during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, infection control and sterilize instruments.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication
