JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations of our dental clinic, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with various medical and dental software systems.

Hours available - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am - 5.30pm

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the reception area efficiently
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, maintaining an organised booking system
  • Handle patient enquiries via phone, email, and in person with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Process patient payments and manage financial transactions accurately
  • Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date and confidential
  • Support in complaints handling
  • Liaise with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Assist with administrative tasks
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times
  • Support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care
  • Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Previous reception experience, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and dental practice management software
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Friendly and empathetic approach to patient care
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Knowledge of dental terminology (desirable)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and team dynamics
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: £12.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 22.5 per week
