Title: Medical Receptionist - Specialist Practice
Job Location: Baulkham Hills, NSW
Days need to work: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Our business: Fox Orthodontics aims to provide a high-quality healthcare through exceptional service to our patients (kids, teenagers and adults).
Our Clinic is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic medical receptionist to join the administration team.
Job description: We are looking to hire a medical receptionist with excellent organisational, administrative, and interpersonal skills with previous experience supporting a busy reception desk.
You will bring positive attitude and an enthusiastic nature along with a caring persona thereby maintaining a happy, calm, welcoming and caring environment for all patients and staff of the practice.
You are expected to work independently as well as a part of a team, displaying a high level of maturity and professionalism.
Key duties:

Your duties will include:

  • Deliver a high level of customer service to the patients and visitors, and communicating professionally at all times.
  • Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner.
  • Scheduling and managing appointments using Oasis medical practice software.
  • Using the medical software to maintain up-to-date patient records, communication and accounts (daily billing, Medicare rebate claiming, ordering, receipting, data entry, scanning and filing, photocopying, faxing, mailing/emailing, creating reports etc.)
  • Administrative support to orthodontist & dental assistants.
  • Liaising with other medical practices and related health services.
  • Display a proactive attitude while focusing on the care of the patients and support to staff.
  • Ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of the medical records as well as the financial information.
  • Following the company’s policies and procedures at all times.
  • Liaising with the Practice Manager regarding any matters related to the practice.
  • Contributing equitably to maintain a clean and tidy practice at all times.

Requirements:

  • Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID
  • Excellent English written and verbal skills & exceptional phone manner.
  • Previous medical reception experience desirable (minimum 6 months)
  • A friendly and pleasant manner with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask by prioritising jobs
  • Good data entry skills
  • General IT skills and proficient with MS Word
  • Computer competency and previous experience using a medical practice software (Oasis advantageous)

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $25.00 – $34.60 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

  • Overtime pay

  • Dental reception: 1 year (Required)
