 Participate in staff/practice training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 To maintain good customer relations with all our patients/parents
 To maintain good customer relations with referring dentists
 To portray a professional attitude to doctors, staff, patients/parents and to referring dentists
 Observe patient confidentiality at all times
 To ensure that the front of house duties and administration are adhered to following practice guidelines

ROUTINE TASKS & DUTIES

 Answer and respond to telephone enquiries, messages and feedback in a professional, friendly, helpful and courteous manner (adhering to our complaints procedure where applicable)
 Respond to post and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner
 Send out text reminders for appointments booked
 Welcome all patients arriving at the practice
 Check out Patients leaving the practice
 Observe patient confidentiality/data protection at all times
 Monitor the appointment diaries
 Proactively ensure that the appointment system is running efficiently and to time and communicate patients/parents when this is not the case
 Collect and record patient payments and patient information accurately and effectively
 Ensure that patient records are completed correctly
 Complete and return payments and claim forms for NHS and private schemes
 Process patient payments and ensure they are recorded correctly on the patient software system
 Encourage prompt payments and chase outstanding debts in accordance with the practice policy
 Liaise with dental laboratories, dental supply companies, and other organisations as required
 Send out correspondence for fail to attend and recalls
 Compile day check sheets
 Keep the office, reception area and waiting room clean and tidy
 Organise stock control and supplies of sundries and stationery
 Cash up daily and reconcile sundry and petty cash money
 Facilitate the cancellation and re-arrangements of appointments as necessary
 Enter New Patients onto the system / book appointment and send welcome pack
 Produce free format letters *when necessary
 Plan and prepare for the next day
 Confirms all long appointments 24 hours before
 Manage the answering message for out of hours/meetings/practice closures
 Deals with post in/out
 Participate with other admin tasks and duties which stem from management reports or other practice activities
 Other duties as necessary to maintain the efficient operation of the practice
