Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced dental office environment. This role requires proficiency in Dentrix dental software system, as well as a strong understanding of dental terminology.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role is required
  • 1 year of previous experience with Dentrix is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical dental terminology is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the dental office calendar.
  • Handle patient intake, including collecting necessary information and verifying insurance coverage.
  • Manage medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation practices.
  • Process payments, manage billing inquiries, and assist with collections and accounts receivables when necessary.
  • Review care plans and assist in the preparation of patient documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and patient waiting room.
  • Provide support for clerical tasks including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, appointments, and insurance verification.
