JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation of the practice and enhancing the patient experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment and software applications relevant to the role.
  • A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanour.
  • Hepatitis B vaccinated (preferred)
  • Previous Dental experience (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist’s time.
  • Manage patient records accurately, including updating personal information and treatment histories.
  • Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing them to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries with professionalism.
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence as required.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the practice.
