DENTAL RECEPTIONIST – BOUTIQUE STATE-OF-THE-ART DENTAL PRACTICE (SYDNEY CBD)

Quay Dental is a modern, boutique dental practice located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional patient experience in a welcoming and professional environment. We are currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and dedicated Dental Receptionist to join our friendly team. This position will initially be part-time, with the potential to grow.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and able to balance front desk responsibilities with patient care. We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, demonstrates initiative, and works well both independently and as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist (preferred) or in a healthcare reception role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience with dental or medical software (Exact experience highly regarded).
  • Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong eye for detail.
  • A friendly, empathetic personality with a genuine interest in patient care.
  • Flexibility to assist with basic dental assisting duties if required.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a warm and professional impression of our practice. You will be responsible for managing reception duties, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and supporting our dental team where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and welcome patients, providing excellent customer service and care.
  • Manage phone calls, emails, and appointment bookings using practice management software.
  • Process payments, health fund claims (HICAPS), and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Coordinate patient recalls and follow-up appointments.
  • Ensure reception and waiting areas are kept professional and tidy.
  • Support dentists and clinical staff by preparing paperwork and scheduling efficiently.
  • Assist with dental assisting duties if required (training provided if necessary).
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all dental practice policies and procedures.
