Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation at the front desk. This role involves managing patient appointments, handling phone inquiries, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. A strong understanding of dental terminology and experience with AbelDent is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a front desk role within a dental office and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in using Abeldent .
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry .
  • Excellent communication skills , with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to details .
  • A team player who can work collaboratively with other staff members .

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 25 per week

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Dental receptionist: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix or similar software.
  • Manage incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations, utilizing electronic medical records systems such as Epic.
  • Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front office area.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
  • Stay informed about dental procedures and terminology to effectively communicate with patients.
