Smile Sensations Canberra City is looking for a Casual Receptionist / Dental Assistant All-Rounder to be the friendly face and voice of our practice — and someone who’s also open to learning dental assisting to support the team when needed.

About the Role:

• Casual, fixed shifts: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (7:45am – 5:15pm)
• You must be available for all 3 days
• Reception-based role with training provided in dental assisting
• Expected to step in for dental assisting/steri when the DA is away or during busy times
• Work as part of a close team with shared responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients in person and over the phone, ensuring a friendly and professional experience
• Manage bookings, payments, health fund claims, and patient enquiries
• Keep the reception and waiting area organised and welcoming
• Learn the basics of chairside dental assisting and sterilisation
• Support the clinical team when required — we work as a team and help each other out

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is warm, reliable, and enjoys working with people
• Can multitask and stay organised in a busy environment
• Is willing to learn and adapt to different parts of the role
• Previous dental or medical reception experience is a bonus, but not essential
